Hi, I'm Brooke.

I'm so glad to meet you.

I began a journey of healing my trauma while also learning how to support my finely-tuned nervous system. I even started to appreciate my innate gifts. I felt liberated and knew I'd spend the rest of my life helping others experience the same type of healing that I had.

Over the last 15 years, I've used my advanced training in trauma therapy, relationships, and Highly Sensitive People to help my clients break free from struggles like over-thinking, overwhelm, perfectionism, poor boundaries, and anxiety, to name a few.

Many people come to me believing that something is wrong with them. Through our work together, it's my joy to watch those beliefs melt away and be replaced by things like peace and self-acceptance. We also get to resolve deep-seated issues and make room for more of the good stuff in life.

After many years of self-criticism, I could finally see myself with more compassion.

When I learned 15 years ago that I am a Highly Sensitive Person, it was a game changer. It transformed how I saw myself and the way that I looked at my life-long struggles of anxiety and overwhelm.

Brooke Nielsen Yang, LMFT

I earned my M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy from The University of San Diego and my B.A. in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and have advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).

In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and two dogs (one of whom spent years joining me in therapy sessions), traveling, reading, being in the mountains, and expressing my creativity.

I've gotten to watch, over and over, how HSPs who get the right support blossom into empowered, radiant, and self-trusting people.
